FRONSADAIS

During these 2 days, 28 castles will open their doors to you, in an exceptional way, around visits and tastings, entertainment and architectural heritage.

A unique opportunity for beginners or amateurs to come and discover or rediscover these appellations.

At the confluence of two rivers, L'Isle and the Dordogne, the terroirs of Fronsac and Canon Fronsac marry superb landscapes of plateaus and hillsides. These soils are mainly clay-limestone and Merlot is the predominant grape variety alongside Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.

The Fronsac appellation covers 800 hectares and Canon Fronsac, one of the smallest appellation in Bordeaux, covers 300 hectares.
