Archistoire is a mobile application developed by the 9b+ agency and the CAUE[1] of the Var, which promotes heritage in all its forms. It is a genuine digital tool allowing you to (re)discover monuments and history, on site or from home, via virtual tours.
The Castillon-Pujols area has two trails: the first in Castillon-la-Bataille, the second in Pujols-sur-Dordogne, inaugurated at the beginning of April 2025. These walks allow you to learn more about disappeared monuments, such as the Carmelite convent of Castillon, the importance of river trade and to interact with notable figures such as Léo Drouyn and those of English Aquitaine.
Two other routes will be launched in autumn 2025 on the occasion of the European Heritage Days: the first will be shared between Gensac and Pessac-sur-Dordogne, the second will focus on Rauzan.
It is by working on archival sources, thematic works, by questioning resource people and by carrying out on-site visits to digitize the territory, that designers can offer us 360° visits.
Archistoire showcases reconstructions and postcards showing the location of lost buildings and natural heritage. Timelines, regional atlases, and block diagrams complement the tour's knowledge.
