After two complex years due to the Covid crisis, "La Bataille de Castillon" has chosen to professionalize and develop its medieval village in order to amaze our spectators.

From 18:30 p.m., you will be able to find skits, entertainment, games, but above all a booming artisan village in the medieval village.

Every evening, find a dozen artisans ready to show you their know-how and their local products.

Various activities will be offered to you: don't miss the "Behind the scenes tour" to discover behind the scenes and the "Murder Party" to solve puzzles while being immersed in a medieval atmosphere.

New things are also to be expected at the Auberge Aliénor, a restaurateur from the Médoc will take care of the preparation and a low-carbon (vegetarian) menu will be offered for the first time to our spectators.

The presence of this new menu is part of an eco-event labeling process, supported by the Reeves association (based in Pays de la Loire which labels events or festivals on national territory).

The “Castillon 1453” association is therefore setting up new measures to become a responsible show and limit its environmental impact.

This year, a bicycle reception will therefore be set up, paper tickets will be replaced by reusable tokens, the ticket office encourages dematerialization (e-tickets), eco-cups will be set up at the bar, etc.

The approach is only at its beginning, it will also develop next year in order to reduce its impact as much as possible with a view to constant improvement.

On the stage of the show, logistical changes will be present this year.

New next-generation LED projectors will be installed, a 20-meter projection tower will bring a new intensity.

The purpose of these technical changes is to provide new, more intense emotions to our viewers.

For the “Castillon 1453” association, the performance season means ten months of intensive preparation for two months of performance and a colossal organization.

Between a new website, the development of a new communication strategy, an eco-event approach, a whole year of work has been provided to dazzle you this summer.
