Near the town center of Libourne, take the elegant tree-lined path that starts from a large roundabout to reach Château Mazeyres, a beautiful Directoire-style residence with a long history: the very ancient origins of this Bordeaux vineyard is attested by the discovery of Gallo-Roman pottery on the site as well as by its situation of urban isolation.
Since 1992, a large-scale renovation has been undertaken in order to highlight the terroir in the Pomerol appellation and to combine modernity and tradition. Sorting table, vinification plot by plot in small stainless steel vats, aging in two-tone oak barrels… The guided tour (by appointment only) reveals the many essential steps to produce the wines of Château Mazeyres which you can then taste.
Pets are allowed on the property.
