The Grand Libournais is the ideal place to fish! With the three rivers Isle, Dronne and Dordogne, fishermen will find what they are looking for!

The rivers of Grand Libournais

L'Isle is characterized by the presence of many dams that segment it. There are very interesting populations of predators. Whitefish are also very well represented with a high abundance of carp, bream and roach; carp fishing at night is authorized in several sectors. There are a few migrants downstream of the river. Fishing can be done from a boat.

The Dronne comes from Charente and joins Isle à Coutras. Various white fish are present, such as bleak, gudgeon or chub. On the predator side, there are pike, perch, and black bass. Fishing is possible there by boat, float-tube or from the edge.

River Dordogne, crosses the Girondin department for 114km. Subject to the influence of the tide from its mouth to Castillon-la-Bataille, it is home to a large population of pike, zander, perch, catfish and many white fish. There are also many migrants such as eel, shad or mullet.

Many other rivers cross the Grand Libournais, do not hesitate to go to the site of the Fishing Federation 33 for the list.
