The Mounds

The mound is a term specific to Saint-Émilion which designates steep pedestrian streets with chaotic paving. There are 4 alleys thus named in the city: the Tertre de la Tente, the Tertre des Vaillants, the Tertre de la Cadène and the Tertre de la Porte Saint-Martin.
