The plots of Château Cardinal Villemaurine are spread over 3 production islands, a few kilometers apart and all in the Saint-Emilion Grand Cru appellation. These islands allow us to produce wines on 3 different types of soil, namely clay, limestone and sandy-clay soil.
The wines of Château Cardinal Villemaurine come from a classic blend. Merlot, the king grape variety in Saint-Emilion, brings roundness, fruitiness and richness to our wines. The Cabernet Franc brings finesse and structure.
