In the past, the Château l'Épine vineyard would have housed a stele containing a thorn from the crown of Christ. This legend is at the origin of the name of the Château, which awaits you in the center of Libourne on the road to Saint-Émilion. In 2008, Monique Ardouin handed over the reins of the estate to her son Gabriel, who implemented an action plan to modernize the estate.
During your visit by reservation, he will introduce you to the terroir of the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation as well as the work undertaken to rejuvenate the vines. It makes you discover the different renovated wine buildings, in the forefront of which are the cellars. He then invites you to discover certain cuvées from Château l'Épine in the brand new tasting room.
