Founded in 1935, the Port-Sainte-Foy cooperative cellar is established on the borders of Bergeracois and Bordeaux.

This winery, which was very prosperous, saw its activity gradually decline until it was placed in liquidation in 2018, leaving the thirty winegrowers who were attached to it in the lurch.
Despite several takeover plans, it was forced to close its doors permanently.

A question then arises about the future of the site and its ideally located facilities.

2020, a new owner!

In 2020, it was bought by the cooperative “Les Vignerons de Berticot Graman” whose headquarters is located in Landerrouat in Pays Foyen with the primary aim of increasing the storage volume.

So why did this group, also located in the neighboring department of Lot et Garonne, decide to buy new equipment in Gironde? To understand it, here is the history of this cooperative in a few key dates.
The link between the two departments appears closely linked to its history since its genesis:

  • 1936, Creation of the cooperative “Les Peryères” by 46 winegrowers from Gironde and Lot et Garonne.
  • 1998, a merger is made with the Duras cellar. This marks the birth of the Winegrowers of Landerrouat and Duras.
  • 2005, The absorption of the Cave de Cazaugitat gave a new direction to the cooperative and the name: Les Vignerons de Landerrouat, Duras et Cazaugitat, was born.
  • 2014, marks the merger with the Cave de Langoiran (entrance to Bordeaux) and the cooperative “Les Vignerons de Berticot Graman” is born.
  • 2020, Purchase of the Cave de Port Sainte Foy to allow for an increase in storage volume.
