When they bought the Auberge des Graves in Vayres in 2019 and opened "Lune" in January 2020, Pierre and Muriel did not imagine living two rather eventful years, but their broad smile, their unfailing optimism and Pierre's cooking earned them an irreducible clientele!

A funny name, when every chef dreams of stars instead!

“My son once received a telescope as a gift. Observing the sky was our own little moment, and what fascinated us the most was the moon”

Symbol of the wildest dreams, reminiscent of childhood where the imagination is forged but also star of poetry and imagination, this name was obvious to Pierre.

« Lune is the union of our family memories, and those impalpable, almost mystical pleasures that gastronomy alone can create”.

Stars, Pierre has known in his career.

"But the most valuable are those that light up in the eyes of our customers when they have had a good time with us."

Nor does the cook forget the influence of the moon on terrestrial foods, from the tides to the cycles of nature in biodynamics.

“I don't claim to have a leg other than that of a cooking-pleasure, sincere and greedy. For the rest, it's the terroir that sets the tone for a good menu and that of the Libournais is generous”.

The vocation of Pierre Rigothier is precocious.
Around the family stoves, the chef understand that the kitchen is a universal language to share authentic emotions.
He grew up in Bordeaux, trained in major French establishments (Jacques Maximin, Le Ritz, le Laurent,
Le Burundy…) then he goes through London where he meets Muriel.
Together they open their first establishment in Vayres.
