Put on your hiking shoes and take your backpack to travel the GR654 west through the Pays Foyen and participate in one or more stages in the Great Hike to Paris as part of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games!

A national event 

As the Paris 2024 Olympic Games approach, the French Hiking Federation, labeled Terre de Jeux, is launching an exceptional event: La Grande Randonnée vers Paris. 
This event aims to bring together all walkers in France from 16 metropolitan cities across 7 main routes to reach the capital! This giant hike will take place between Saturday January 13 and Sunday May 12. 

A visit to Pays Foyen 

Occasionally, the Grand Randonnée vers Paris offers various stops in Pays Foyen via the GR654 west from Poteau de Captieux station towards Port-Sainte-Foy-et-Ponchapt.

The stages between Montségur and Gageac-et-Rouillac

The first stage in Pays Foyen will begin on March 11 departing from Monségur, via Pellegrue, towards Saint-Quentin-de-Caplong. A 24km long stage which will offer a midday stop under the Pellegrue hall and an arrival around 16:30 p.m. in Saint-Quentin-de-Caplong.

The second step, the March 12 will allow you to reach Saint-Quentin-de-Caplong in Port-Sainte-Foy-et-Ponchapt in Dordogne! This 12km stage will allow you to discover the varied landscapes of the Pays Foyen.

Finally, March 13, the day of rest, will invite walkers to discover various activities offered throughout the day: visit to the Inland Boat Museum in Port Sainte-Foy, Spanish inn, screening of the film “Les chemins noirs” at the Cinéma la Brèche in Sainte-Foy. la-Grande and well-being entertainment!
